    Tattoo shop renovation
    $16,200

Avis Poon, a general contractor worked for during Sep, Oct for a shop renovation.
She is an awful general contractor. I have no idea why someone would license her and it's a shame to whole construction industry.
I just want to list some facts and my complaints below for whoever read this and avoid this disastrous company at your best interest.

    1) Bait and Switch
Push customers at the the beginning to choose them by promising to finish in 2 weeks. However, she keeps dragging for 2 months without fully done.

    2) Very unprofessional quote.
Quote without details. She started to work a little bit so that you can only stick with her company. She never wants to sign a contract about timeline, all details. Also, she wouldn't even want to give detailed quote. Everything in a BLACK BOX. You have no idea why she charged this amount. Even after we complained so many times and asked her to give detail quote. She failed to give cost with enough details.
She likes to hide all details, so that she can eat up a lot using cheap materials etc.

    3) Can't deliver what is agreed
Even if we showed her a picture of a desired concrete floor, she just used a vague language telling us it's gonna be like those pictures. However, it's not even near what we expected. She was very reluctant to do a sample for us, even if her co-work offered. I was glad we insisted to do a sample first, so that we knew she wouldn't deliver what we want early. In the end we have to ask them to stop doing all those floor work.

    4) Reluctant to refund
Even if she can't do what we expected floor, she didn't want to refund portion of my money at the beginning. The reason is rediculous, she said grinding concrete already costed full amount, epoxy was not charged at all, it's kinda free, so she can't refund, since we ask her to stop after grinding. We spent days reasoning her, and finally got some money back.

    5) Slow response to what she likes to respond and ignore rest
During the renovation, we had some details to confirm and we also asked her the timeline. She only responeded to what she wants to responed. And she constantly ingore other messages or just
    pretend she didn't understand.

    6) Can't even keep track of all works needed to be done
In the end, after we did final check, we found some can lights are missing in kitchen, also we found some track light not installed at all!
We get some money back, since she forgot to ask works to do it. However, keep in mind, since she wouldn't give you a detail quote of all agreed tasks.
It's very easy to forget what you were charged at first place. If we didn't find those, she would just charge you anyway.

    7) She is not "a general contractor"
We were frustrated to find out the true. She is just a sencond hand contractor who sold the whole task to other company and take a cut.
During the renonvation, there is anohter general contractor on the site all the time, and she wouldn't allow us to contact him directly at the begining.
She wants to get all requirements and translate to him, though she can't express clearly, it's furstrated to find out who really worked on project didn't get clear requirements.
Truth to be told, we don't really need a interpretor, and we don't want to be double charged by two general contractor.
