Called my home warranty company back in July due to our A/C not working properly. They sent out a tech from AMA Minn Corp (Robert) who diagnosed the problem, did a through inspection and provided his honest and professional opinion on the condition of the A/C and Furnace Unit. He informed me when he was leaving that I would call their office to make the card payment for the service fee (a nominal $75). I immediately called, made said payment and had a receipt emailed to me (all around July 24th).
A month later (~ Aug 24th), someone from the front office of AMA (Chyna/China?) called and stated that the old payment had gone into their collections department due to the original transaction being declined. I provided her with the payment information again, and hung up the phone, having forgotten about the e-receipt I had gotten a month earlier.
I then checked my email, found the receipt and checked my online card statements to find that the original $75 charge from July 24th was still on there (it had NOT been declined) and proceeded to call back immediately (within minutes of making the payment). Chyna had picked up the phone and I described to her the situation, and she stated she would have accounting look into the issue/concern.
Flash forward nearly a month, more than 5 messages left with different people at the office, and numerous calls to their office during normal business hours (message states: noone is available to take your call right now) and several voicemails left with the system...I still have no response. I have opened a dispute with my card issuer to reverse the charge, but feel this experience warrants a public message about the horrible customer service and negligence this company has shown to me during my customer experience.
Sadly, 0 stars isn't a possibility for this rating, and that truly is a shame in this situation. Aside from the technician being great, the rest of this company appears to be made up of do-nothings that don't seem to give a damn about their customers experience. They've been quick to take my money each time (within 24 hours) but have taken over a month to rectify a simple mistake.
