This contractor (Fernando Quinones) was a "No Show" to fix my A/C unit during an extremely dangerous heat advisory period. After accepting an expedited work order from American Home Shield (Home warranty company) to conduct repair work on a broken A/C unit, communication with the owner established he would service my A/C on the afternoon of July 20, 2018.
As expected, the company contacted me the morning of July 20 to set an appointment time. The initial time offered to "squeeze me in" was untenable as I was already at work and needed to find a replacement to release me from shift. Ambient's owner agreed to call me around "Noon" to let me know if he could make it in the afternoon.
Around 11 a.m., I texted the owner to let him know I was available to meet him to which he responded he would be "on the way to my house after his next service call". After taking the entire afternoon off, I waited at the house until 5 p.m. with NO COMMUNICATION (text or phone call) from Ambient. I texted the owner (Quinones) several time to inquire as to his status, and attempted several phone calls and left messages on his phone which went unanswered or returned.
I took the morning of the next day off as well as I hoped Ambient was just behind and would honor their word to conduct the repairs early the next day, July 21. All texts and phone calls continued to go unanswered. I then contact the Home Warranty company who was able to get in touch with Ambient's owner, who told the warranty company he couldn't get to my house until the following week. UNACCEPTABLE!! I conveyed my frustration to the warranty company as to the complete lack of disregard by Ambient to state they were on the way to my house then never showed AND never communicated they wouldn't come/couldn't come. I believe this his HORRIBLE customer service especially given the dangerous heat. I tried to contact the owner of Ambient again to let him know I was disappointed and all I wanted to was an explanation as to why he stood my up and refused to communicate. I explained a reasonable explanation would be fine, otherwise I would be forced to refer the company as a complaint to the home warranty company and the BBB. This is the responsible course of action for all customers as the community deserves to know they could be taken advantage of by Ambient Recovery Services. Fernando Quinones immediately responded with a text "Do Not Contact Me Again At This Number." I think that response validates and proves my concern as a customer regarding Ambient's complete lack of customer care, service, and integrity.
