I paid $1200 to find a leak in my pool. Then was given an estimate for almost $5000 to do more work. When I asked to have the owner call to discuss the work, he would not call me back. I can only assume that he is incompetent.

I contracted with American Home Butler to determine if there are leaks in my pool. They did fine at that part. Unfortunately, when I tried to contract with Todd for the leak repairs his contract was very one-sided. It required that I give up my rights in the event of a dispute (e.g. arbitration, limits on the value of the dispute, and limits on what I can say publicly about the dispute). When I tried to negotiate with the owner, Todd, he refused to consider my side and told me to “go do business with someone else”. I am very familiar with contracting practices. This experience was really surprising and disturbing. This contractor knows his contracts are one-sided, refuses to change anything, and acts like I’m being unreasonable. I recommend caution if signing a contract with Todd. He may be a great contractor but his methods are extremely worrisome.
