  Stephen Hage is a criminal! If you check out Yelp you will see that he has stolen dozens of people's deposit. Including my own. I signed a contract in July and here it is January 2018 and he has disappeared and won't answer texts or phone. The last I heard from him he wanted me to give him MORE money and then he would start building the patio. Are you kidding me? It looks like he is doing business under another name too. Patio Depo. We are going to take legal action. I hope all his victims do to.

  I signed a contract with Stephen Hage in October 2017 and paid him a large amount of deposit to install a patio cover in my backyard. After two months, he did not do anything. I tried to contact him many times, but he never returned my calls or texts. Basically he disappeared from the real world.

  Then, I found that Stephen has a California contractor’s license (#996843). From the California Contractor License Board, I also found that he has a Contractor’s Bond with Wesco Insurance Company. I contacted this insurance company (phone # 405-354-5201) and filed a claim against Stephen Hage/ American Pride Enterprises, Inc. A Bond Adjuster then contacted me and sent me all the paper work to fill out. Within a month, I received my full deposit back from this insurance company.

  If you are a victim too from Stephen’s crime, you can do the same thing as I did to get your deposit back. Stephen Hage is a real criminal. He still continues cheating the consumers by advertising his fake business in “Local Flavor ” magazine every month. We must put him out of business for good and put him in jail by all means.

  AGAIN, CALL HIS BOND COMPANY NOW TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK!!!

  Aluminum Patio Cover

  Do NOT do business with this American Pride Enterprises . This Contractor NEVER picks up his phone or text you back. He kept me in limbo for almost 4 month; after I had already gaiven him the $1300 deposit. When he finally shows one day he demands payment for delivery of materials within hours. Funny he makes ME wait months, but he CAN'T wait an extra day to get his next payment.

  When Work finally starts, he want's to cut all kinds of corners. I am fortunate that I could be home through the processes so that I could "supervise"

  On the First Day I had to send the Workers home because they didn't have the correct building materials and the owner wanted them to mickey mouse it together. I would have non of that. They returned the next day with the correct stuff.

  Once they Where "finished" he demanded a last payment, but when I went outside, They were ALMOST done, but not DONE. All the ladders and tools were still there and a few things needed finishing.
  Upon Closer inspection I sent the owner pictures of the issues that needed to be fixed. again NO call or Response via text.
  Next day one of the workers showed up and took care of my concerns.

  I would rate the final product as a C+. His employees said he is ALWAYS running behind schedule by months, even though he promises 3 week turnaround( He is charismatic enough to be believed). My Opinion on that is that he probably needs the cash flow from new deposits to continue his operation. Be careful... in those months you are waiting, he could go out of business and you will loose your deposit.
