Permits
- Building permit records show that American Solar Advantage Inc has worked on 876 permitted projects.
1. This is for my 86 year old mom.
2. 8 months after initial install she still is not producing energy but she is paying the bill. At one point ASA traded with me: They would complete the install for a good review on YELP. I made a good review because work restarted but it stopped when they could not fix the system they installed. Then it took 4 months to get them back to working on the system.
3. ASA pulled the money on day one of install. Dec 27, 2022.
4. We got a really good loan rate from Goodleap but Goodleap allowed American Solar Advantage to pull all the money in Dec. before the system was installed was completed and well before the system was operational. It still does not function. 8-21-2023. ASA will not respond to Goodleap either.
5. At original install: There was no service upgrade to 200A or no new fuse box to accommodate the 200A system and no inverter when ASA pulled the money from Goodleap. I feel this was intentional to get paid sooner.
6. The rest of the install took 2 more full months but it was not operational at the end of Feb either.
7. Over the next 4 months (March to June) I sent emails to them twice a week asking for an update and to get the permit signed off and all I got was crickets until I posted my very detailed review to Goodleap about ASA and ASA's shoddy workmanship.
8. ASA worked on the system in June. 4 months after full installation to fix many nonfunctional problems and the functional part of the system. They could not get the system functional. Said it was an optimizer. They said they would finish the work in 3 weeks when they came out for the Permit signed off and replace the optimizer.
9. Permit was signed off 7-18-23 but ASA could not get the system working and left my 86yo mom hanging for 4 weeks when I got the dreaded "we will look into it" email. 4 weeks not a single word. They did say they are working on a date to come out yet none has been provided.
10. ASA was paid in full last DEC and we have had little if any contact in the last 8 months.
11. It took 7 months to get the permit signed off and sent to PGE. PGE issued the PTO "Permit To Operate" a week later on July 24, 2023. The system is still not functioning and the inverter is in sleep mode.
12. ASA did not even reply to my twice weekly emails between March and June to the CEO Bobby Harris, Director of Customer Experience Jennifer Faris and Daniel Lee at CDW.Group who schedules the work.
13. My last emails took 3 weeks (at least 7 separate emails) before they replied and all I got back was "I will get back to you".
14. My mom has missed out on 6 months of production worth at least $1200 this summer because of their delays and inaction.
So ASA was paid but ASA ignored the emails to perform for 6 months; Mom was allowed PTO on July 24-2023 but the system does not produce energy.
I feel tired, frustrated and betrayed by this company. I feel that getting partial installs is priority from them so they can get paid while pushing off customers who have paid. so if there is a problem in their install it will become your problem.
