Ian and his crew did a fabulous job up to a point. For some reason, a miscalculation was made that put the slab two inches below grade. Ian blamed the excavation contractor and that contractor blamed Ian. In the end, Ian did the right thing and covered the cost of having the slab raised to the proper level. However, that is when everything went south. From then on, I was reminded how he was losing money. On the last day of the job, with lots of work left to do, his crew was told to "finish the job today no matter what," according to one of the crew. My concerns about some issues with the work were shrugged off. The drywall job was sloppy and I had to pay $2500 to another contractor to redo and finish it. The doors were hung so poorly that daylight shows through the seals and water pours into the building through those gaps. The building inspector pointed out these deficiencies on the final inspection. Despite assurances from Ian that they would return to fix anything that was wrong, my attempts to contact him were never answered. It's sad because most of the workmanship was top-notch. I am now having to find and pay another contractor YET AGAIN to fix these issues. Very disappointed.
