We hired him and his sons to rebuild our front porch and extend it in two directions and put Trex decking down. He talked a lot about his knowledge. When he was partly done, I noticed that he had broken our siding, which he never said anything. He was asked to fix it. I also noted that that base of the porch didn't come out far enough to meet the trex that was put down so the Facia wouldn't connect. He fixed that by cutting the boards uneven, using a stable gun and went and purchased extra long screws that and stabled over and over again and added the screws that missed the underneath board. There are holes everywhere and large gaps. He then came back when we weren't home and added silicone that to nail holes that left a horrible goop sticking out of the holes. He hasn't bothered to come back. We paid him 2/3 of what he asked for. He didn't even deserve that. With what we paid for the Trex and he ruined the Facia boards at well of $100 a board. We had to take the facia and couple of rows off and reposition them and cut them evenly as they cut the facia boards uneven. There are numerous holes drilled into the boards everywhere. There are still horrible spots but we did what we could to correct it. We were going to have him put in a new door off the back porch and take out the lazy Susans from two of our cabinets. He discouraged us from putting the doors on stating that it was a waste of our money because someone could break into our home in other places so replacing the doors wouldn't do anything to deter that. What??!!!! He never came back after making a complete mess. He also had us pay him under the table, no taxes. I'm not even sure he's legal at all. DO NOT HIRE THIS PERSON. I'M THINKING OF REPORTING HIM AND TRYING TO GET SOME OF OUR MONEY BACK. THIS GUY IS A FRAUD.
