I spoke to Alejandro (Ankee Homes) about taking on a roof project to help my unit in Everman TX 76140 install a new roof. He agreed and came back to check out the house. He then gave me a quote of $5500. $3500 was needed for materials so he needed that amount upfront. Due to Zelle limits, I paid him the amount over the next couple of days. 8/9 - Zelle Ankee Homes $1000 for roof repair 8/12 - Zelle Ankee Homes $2500 for roof repair After paying him, he initially contacted me, stating that there were delays in the project, then changed the initial quote given that it might take up to $7000. Then after saying no to the new quote and asking for a refund, he disappeared and stop responding to my emails and texts and stop picking up my calls. There has been no communication with him and my property manager stopped by the property and the roof is not yet complete. This contractor took my money without completing the project and slowly this is turning into a scam/fraud. No answer afterwards. Alejandro disappears after and it has been 4+ months so far.
