Zero stars for this worthless company. Anthem Mechanical should be shut down due to incompetency. Upon scheduling our appointment, I informed their dispatcher that I only wanted one of their senior techs to come out to assess the problem with our AC's. They sent out a tech that has no idea what he is doing. While inspecting our AC unit he was on the phone with his supervisor the whole time getting step-by-step instructions on what to do. He told us he tested the pressure and both our air conditioners were working just fine. He said the coils should be cleaned to help the units run more efficiently and we should add insulation to areas of the attic where there is none. He also said his supervisor told him we should set our AC to 80 during the hottest part of the day so the AC doesn't have to work so hard. REALLY!!!! And this is one of their senior techs! This is the most ridiculous advice any AC company could give. After the tech left the AC temperature rose to well over 84+ degrees. He told us the air conditioners were both fine. We thought he may have disconnected something from one of the units. I called Anthem Mechanical to let them know Axel did not fix the problem with our AC, and now the temperature has gotten worse. They offered to send out another tech, but get this, we now have to wait until Monday. Really, we have to wait five days in triple digit, record breaking temperatures of 120 degrees. We already waited our turn and should be given priority. It's not our fault their tech is incompetent. We called a reliable and legitimate company to come out and fix our AC the next day since Anthem Mechanical failed on all levels. We spent a miserable night with an AC unit not working in record breaking temperatures. I will update this post if we find out Axel disconnected something. I will be cancelling my home warranty with AHS since they work with bottom-of-the-barrel incompetent companies. I am also going to file a complaint with the BBB against American Home Shield and Anthem Mechanical. Do yourself a favor and call somebody else for your repairs. I should have taken the poor reviews more seriously. If you absolutely have to use your home warranty, I strongly suggest you ask for a different company.
Update: The tech from Anthem Mechanical did indeed screw up our AC unit. He connected his test gauge to both our units to check the refrigerant levels and said they were both fine. Within minutes of him leaving the temperature rose to well above 84+ degrees on the main living areas of our home. The company we hired to come out the next day to look at the AC unit said the Schrader valve was broken on one of the units and the hi side screws were not tightened, causing all of the refrigerant to leak out. Axel Garcia, from Anthem Mechanical caused this damage when he tested the unit with his gauge. Our AC unit ran non-stop for over 24 hours with no freon, which has caused even more damage to the unit. Anthem Mechanical wanted us to wait until Monday for them to come back out. REALLY, five days with no freon in triple digit weather! Freon was added costing us $$$$, and the unit is now overheating and might have to be replaced. Maybe this was done on purpose so the unit would have to be replaced and Anthem Mechanical would have a nice payday. Anthem Mechanical has caused us $$$$. I will be taking them to small claims court. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

They do not know what they are doing they sent an inexperienced service person who nothing about the unit and insisted I needed a new unit. Called a reliable contractor and the unit was fixed in 3hours . Do yourself a favor and get a company that knows what they are doing.
