  Unclog shower drain

  $126

  If I could give this company a negative rating, I absolutely would.

  First, they failed to show up for the original appointment and didn’t bother to call or notify anyone about the delay. My family member had to call them herself to reschedule — already a red flag for professionalism.

  When they came out for the rescheduled appointment, they quoted $126 to fix a clogged drain. What they didn’t disclose was that this was actually just a dispatch fee, not the cost to fix anything. They attempted to unclog the drain but were unsuccessful. Then, instead of honoring their original price, they tried to quote an even higher amount to complete the job.

  When we asked for clarification, the technician was rude and dismissive. Things escalated further when my sister spoke with the manager, who was shockingly unprofessional and even threatened legal action if we didn’t pay the dispatch fee — despite the fact that no work was successfully completed.

  This entire experience was stressful, unprofessional, and felt incredibly predatory. I highly recommend avoiding this company altogether. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration and find a plumber who is honest and transparent about their pricing.

  Fix Pipe

  $1,045

  I would avoid this company. My experience was frustrating, expensive, and handled poorly.

  * They quoted me $1,045 thinking it was a much bigger project than it was. In the end it was a simple 15 minute job, but they still charged me $1045
  * Called twice to dispute the charge--no callback the first time, and second time manager just "gathered info". Nothing resolved thus far.
  * Wasted 19 hours waiting for workers: late the first day, no-show the second, very late the third.
  * After 18 hours of waiting, I tried to cancel and cut losses. A rep lied and said someone was en route--another rep called 30 min later saying the tech was still cleaning up a different job.
  * The plumbers did fine, but it wasn't a difficult job.
  * I walked away feeling ignored, misled, and taken advantage of. Very incoherent company.

  We called for a plumber to come out for an emergency service. Our shower would not stop running and we had turned off the water to our house while we waited for them to come. When the plumber showed up he said the repair would cost several thousand dollars and take 2 days to complete; one day to cut access into the wall and cap the pipes, and one day to get the parts and repair the shower (even though we had already bought all the parts they said we would need just incase). We felt we didn't have much of a choice since it was a weekend evening and we chose to trust him and have him just make it so we could turn our water on by cutting the access and capping the pipes. We wanted to get some quotes from other plumbers for the rest of the repair, as the amount they quoted us seemed very high.

  We contacted several other plumbers who seemed confused by what had happened. We had a master plumber come out to our house to look at it and he was astounded and enraged by what Anywhere Rooter had done. The repair they SHOULD have done was a simple routine repair that took 5 minutes and did not require them to cut an access panel or cap the pipes.

  When we contacted Anywhere Rooter about it, they were dismissive and refused to at least provide a plumbing license number of the person that came to our house (which is against the law to refuse) so we don't even know if he was licensed. In hindsight we should have gotten that number up front; lesson learned. I told them I know mistakes can happen and they could make it right by at least refunding the money I paid to have them do work that damaged my home and cost me over $1000 to repair and they refused to even do that. Really, I feel like they should have refunded and repaired the damage they did unnecessarily to my home but instead they yelled at me over the phone, were extremely unprofessional, and denied that they had done anything wrong. They wouldn't even let me talk to the person that did the work.

  If you want a licensed professional who holds their employees accountable and works with integrity then do NOT hire Anywhere Rooter.

  Beware of Anywhere Plumbing! I called them for a pipe backup, and their technician tried to scam me by saying he hit something and the pipes might be broken. He pushed a $1600 hydro jet service. Instead, I rented a drain cleaner and fixed the issue myself. When I asked for a refund, they refused, claiming they had partially opened the pipe. This company is unprofessional and only out to charge you for basic services. Don't fall for their tricks.

  Be very wary of this company, they will prey on your inexperience in plumbing, ask for money up front, not give lyou a break down of work needed, charge a 25% cancelation fee, and then Not want to return your money. Does n return calls.

  Pipe Leak

  $750

  Please be careful with this company. They charged me 750 for a service+parts. The person who arrived did not have the part and was supposed to return the next day and never showed up. I called in and the person on the phone rescheduled to 8:00 am next business day and the worker did not show up again. I called and asked for refund of the amount charged for the part which was never installed and the office manager (who by the way is extremely rude with zero empathy) refused to refund. She told me that I either wait for the worker to show up (please note that I waited twice and am loosing wages because of them) or loose the entire amount. I could not reason with her as all of this seemed to be unnecessary and unreasonable rubbish to her. So please beware of how you deal with this company, especially what money you had over to them. Now the whole thing will move to BBB, small court claim, consumer forums, and if push comes to shove a litigation. This seems to be a trend with this company as I saw another review with similar issues.
