  Roof replacement

  $10,000

  As our roof was being torn off, our salesman called and stated they found $2500 worth of additional damage. Since they were mid-replacement, we said to make sure to get photos of the additional damage since it was an Ida claim. We paid in good faith, but after weeks of being told they were sending the pictures for insurance, a lady from the office brought the salesman out to try to get clarification about where the additional damage was, but he passed out in our driveway. My neighbors called 911, but the salesman woke up and accused a neighbor (who was trying to help him up) of trying to rob him. After all this, Area Wide still stuck by the charges but said not to worry because they would talk to insurance and try to get them to cover it. Our claim is now closed, and they did NOT cover the supposed additional damage because there was no evidence it existed. Area Wide prides itself on helping deal with the insurance companies, but doesn’t even protect its customers by taking basic pictures. Even worse, we can only assume that after all of the run around, there was no additional damage in the first place.

  My whole reason of hiring Area wide was because throughout the walk view of work needed being done he told me they’d take care of everything as in the facia board, drip edge, then the shingles. Well came home from work and all the shingles were installed but the facia boards on back and side roof pitch were still hanging 1/4 way down side of house. No drip edge were replaced either. They sent a roofer to come and see what was needing to be done to finish. He told me they didn’t do that. Was told I need to hire a framer to come fix all that. Well the whole reason of hiring them was because I was told they’d take care of all that. I had plenty other estimates but none of them said they’d do that because they had to much going on. Then area wide came along and said they’d fix all of it and they didn’t. They left me hanging just like the facia board. I’m having problems finding contractors to come and fix these issues at the moment. Facia & drip edge should’ve been done first just like area wide said they were going to do and then install the shingles. Well they got there money but I got an unfinished job. Very unprofessional you ask me. If ever have to go through this again down the road I will definitely not use area wide nor recommend them. Very disappointed

  Roofing

  Had a roof done this week. They were very friendly and showed up on time and they did a fantastic job on the roof. The process was very straight forward. Highly recommend!

  Worst installation job of Pella windows you can imagine! Could see daylight through the cracks in the windows! Was contracted through Lowes to install the new Pella windows, Lowes had to send another Contractor out to correct all the problems...Would never have them do anything for me!!!
