I’m a property manager and Juan Tejeda has been very helpful and reliable. I have been working with Juan for a couple of years now and he has proven to be very honest. I have seen the reviews and it really amazes me. There is no roofer by the name of Steven or Stephen that works with Juan. I do know that someone else had been working under Ato Jack's license. So please be careful and make sure you are only dealing with Juan. I hope this helps, thank you!

Currently contracting with this contractor. His name is Steven/Stephen. Tried calling him to tell him that his workers came at 2:00 PM and left before 4:30 PM! I called to ask him to come earlier the next day because it was expected to rain. He then proceeded to yell on the phone asking me why I was calling him, to leave him messages, etc. Come to find out that his voicemail doesn't work. He then hung up on me.
Earlier in the day, I had called him to show him that the job his workers just completed was wrong. There was a huge bubble of water underneath the new roofing material he had just put in because of the rain! Brand new roofing material and it had water underneath it already... When I confronted him about the situation, he simply said, "it's in the past! what can i do about it now?!"
Do not contract with this roofer. He is simply unreliable, unprofessional and does not want to take any responsibility for his work. I should have read the review above me to know what was actually going on.

I have contract with the contractor for re-roofing with paint sheathing, setup 3 solar vents and gutters as well as insulation in the attic. I have asked the contractor apply for permit and inspection. I paid all money 11/15/2014 because he said he finish all jobs.
1/13/2015 another project contractor (solar power panel contractor) told me City inspector can’t approve solar panel inspection because solar vents don’t apply for permit. I asked Cerritos City and they confirmed the unpermitted solar vents and also told me the re-roofing don’t close due to lack of final inspection. They also told me I have asked re-roofing contractor do that.
1/13/2015, 1/14/2015, and 1/23/2015, I called and faxed to advise the contractor (as attachments) but he didn’t go to city to apply for the permit. 1/28/2015, I went to Cerritos City to apply solar vent permit by myself, spend me $289.70.
1/30/2015, Solar panel passed city inspection after I apply for the solar vent permit. However, solar vents can’t pass inspection because the contractor didn’t paint solar vents to same color as new roof. Re-roofing didn’t pass also due to rain in 1/30/2015. I called and asked the contractor paint and schedule for final inspection. However the contractor just gave me a bottle spray paint let me do by myself. However, the paint don’t enough to paint all solar vents and also is not the same color as other vents on the roof. I bought other 3 spray paints cost me $20 and spend me 2 hours to finish painting. I contact City and then finish finial inspection 2/20/2015 by myself.
He had not finished all jobs but collect all my money. Also, every time I contact he didn’t respond friendly. He told me I bother him too much. In fact, he is unprofessional, unreliable, and un-responsible. Wasted my money and my time.

Juan is THE WORST ROOFER!!! Our HOA had flat roof redone by him in 2019. Right after it was done, we start having leaks. It’s 2023 and 10 out of 11 units had active leaks. One was repaired not by him but my my HVAC contractor. Juan is combative and lies thru his teeth. He wrote 10 years of warranty on his quote and we can’t even get him to honor his word to come to do a though repair and he wants to charge us for the repair when his work was the cause of our leaks. Now we have to REDO our roof and it’ll cost us triple the cost!!! So please, DO NOT HIRE HIM!!! In fact Maria R who wrote the only five star review was our property manager who recommended him. And leak already happened when this review was written by her! If anyone listens please find another roofer!
