The day I had an estimate, was the day I wrote a check for half of the total estimate (after I was asked for the whole payment, and refused). The next day, wood was dropped off at my house. That Wood sat in the mud and grass for 2 months. The day the wood was dropped off, 2 holes were drilled in my yard for the posts. Those holes went unfilled, and uncovered for at least 2 weeks. I had to cover them with wood for safety reasons (I have to dogs that could have fell in those holes, that the contractor was made aware of). I was told numerous times to leave my gate unlocked for work to be done on my deck. It was not.
Finally, after over 2 months, I was told the owner went on vacation and decided to extend it while he was there. For this, I received no call.
Then, one Saturday someone came to work on the deck. He did half of the deck, left off the railings, and left. That person told me he would be back tomorrow. He was not. He did, however, leave a mess of sharp wood, wood pieces and nails in my yard that were a hazard to me and my animals. A few weeks later, someone showed up to complete the railings. This time, a mess was also left. My broom was thrown across my yard. I spent hours cleaning up nails, plastic, wood and other debris. I was given a $50 discount for the hassle with waiting over 2 months.
After completion and payment. I noticed a piece of wood breaking off the railing (2 days after completion). I also noticed some wood cracking from nail to nail on 2 posts of the railing. The wood on my deck is covered in knots as well. I called James and was told he would be out to check on it that Saturday. He did not come. I then called the next week and was told to leave my gate unlocked again that he would be out the next day. I heard nothing, and nothing was fixed. I called that night and left a message. I have not heard back.
This has been a nightmare. I have tried to be understanding and cooperative up to this point. I have had many contractors and repairman at my house over the course of my renovations, and none were as unprofessional and awful as this.
I would NOT suggest using this company for any projects. BUYER BEWARE!!!!
