  Roof fix

  Hired to do a job and told I had to wait until spring. He was busy and promised numerous time to do the job and that it would "only take an afternoon to complete." I gave up trying after the 2nd year of waiting for this guy to do his job. Then blamed me when it was his inability to be organized. His own testimony is that there is no job too big or small yet he can't do small jobs. Definitely not recommend this joker.

  Sewar replacement

  $8,500

  We hired Brian Hartman to replace our sewer line. He finished about 40% of it after months and months of excuses as well as repeated offers to buy our house. He damaged our fence and broke our water line. We fired him and hired another company to finish the job, which happened in three days.

  Do not trust this man. He comes off as competent, but is really a skilled predator.

  Basement Finishing

  $80,000

  Things got off to a good start on a basement finishing project, but as time progressed people showed up to work less and less. Nine months into the project and about 80% complete people stopped showing up altogether. The work that had been completed seemed to be of reasonable quality, but I was never given an explanation or even excuses for what happened. A year later, and I had to find someone else to finish the work that should have taken about six months.

  Tree removal, roof, fence and deck repair.

  Brian Hartman of Audubon Restoration told us he could start our tree removal and roof repair in late March. He also said he'd handle the insurance claim and we wouldn't have to worry about anything. He took our deposit and then we didnt hear from him for several weeks.

  After repeatedly messaging him, he did a partial tree removal which was valued at approximately 1/3 of what we paid him in the first draw, then he disappeared again. After repeated messaging and calling, six months after the project was suposed to be under way, we finally reached him and he claimed to have an issue reaching the insurance company. It appears he had sent one email and never even called them. We talked to the insurance company and again forwarded our insurance info to him, telling him also that they said he needed to complete the amount of work equaling the value he received in the the first draw/deposit before he could get more money. That was the last we heard from him.

  We are now sitting with additional damage to our house from another 7 months of rain and weather getting into our roof and walls, and now our deposit is gone as well and we still have a giant stump sitting in our yard so he didn't even finish the ONE thing he had started. Wish I could give negative stars because we now have a negative amount of money for our project.
