kitchen remodel
$30,000
Avanti Builders Inc lead a kitchen remodel at our home in 2016 that looked excellent. However, we recently discovered a leak that had existed due to their error. An exhaust vent was cut above a new window they installed and left open through the roof. We opened the drywall and found a 3’x2’ section of black mold, several rotten 2’x4’s and rodent remains all that had direct access from the pipe Avanti left wide open. We contacted Avanti’s office for seven days in a row with no response. I also contacted the President directly with no response. We had the mold remediated by another company to get rid of the mold safely, but still have to repair and replace the drywall and paint. All we asked Avanti for was to make their mistake right by replacing the drywall and painting. I still have not received a reply. It seems they care about construction that looks good, but not the details, quality, or the customers’ health. They obviously don’t care about their mistakes. I wouldn’t contract again with a company that doesn’t do quality control before the project is final and doesn’t acknowledge and fix mistakes.
