  complete house remodel

  I hired Baldean Contracting after my previous contractor went out of business partway through a large home renovation. It was a very difficult project to pick up in the state it was in, especially since my prior GC had caused some issues with subcontractors that they took out on the project. I worked directly with Flavius and Adrian and they were able to finish out the project in a few months, and for a very reasonable price. They are very responsive as well which is not something you see with every contractor. I recommend working with them, I can only say I wish we used them from the beginning.

  Baldean just completed a complete, to-the-studs, remodel of our bathroom and a bedroom. I highly recommend him ! Our township has difficult permit requirements, he successfully navigated all of this, and kept us informed along the way. He treated our home vey well and before he started he installed protective plastic and cloth mats to ensure no damage from his activities. His employees worked steadily, every day, and did great work. Every morning Flavius met with us to get our input and clearly communicate the days plans and what to expect. In the end, we were left with 2 rooms that we love at a more-than-fair price. Thanks Flavius !!

  Kitchen remodel and Basement finishing

  Flavius remodeled my kitchen. He was extremely thorough and paid attention to detail that I felt other contractors would have overlooked. He noticed my wall needed repair prior to installing cabinets. He also pointed out hazards that required attention before completing the kitchen project. He was honest and direct, which I appreciate. Flavius did such an amazing job with the kitchen project that I hired him to remodel my basement. The thing about Flavius is that he makes sure EVERYTHING is right before moving to the next step. What I mean is he makes sure there's no issues with plumbing, electric, or foundation... he advises what needs to be replaced so that the customer has peace of mind. You can tell that Flavius cares about his craft and most importantly cares about his customers' satisfaction. I would definitely hire Flavius for future projects.

  Wood Fence

  Flavius was referred to us by our neighbor. We needed a rear property fence. I had contacted 3 area fence companies and couldn’t get anyone to even come to measure and give a quote. Flavius and Bill Schoppy were great. I had my fence up within the week and it looks fantastic, and the price was extremely reasonable. I will be using Flavius for all of my projects moving forward, we couldn’t be happier.

  Roof

  I was referred to baldean contracting from a friend, and I am glad I listened to him. Flavius made our roof process so simple, and communicated with me throughout the job. He and his crew of guys had my roof done and cleaned up all in one day. His estimate he gave me was dead on, and much less than another quote I received. I highly recommended them, and will be using them in the future.

  New roof

  We’ve been clients for 3 years, and we are very pleased with both the work ethic and results of the Baldean Contracting LLC. Both small and large jobs have been done well, from hot water heater installation to a new roof, masonry maintenance, preventative maintenance and some gnarly repairs to an old home, the work is always carried out with attention to detail and care for the property. He listens well to your ideas, shares some of his own, and the results are always welcome improvements.

  Basement water remediation

  Flavius was referred from a trusted friend for a very specific job. This is the third time we’ve attempted to remediate water in my basement. After a false start from another company, he came in, created a drainage system and then rebuilt the framing, closed up the walls, painted and replaced the floor. Workers came promptly each day and the job was done in two weeks. He called regularly to check in and made sure we were pleased with the work. No reservations in recommending.

  Hatboro

  My house burnt down. He was hired to put my house back together. I should have know when he didn't write anything down when we went through everything. He bid the job to completion, well seems to be he needed money cause he starting cheating out on the job. Shower set and sick faucet were 2 different color hardware. Windows were so cheap I could hear the neighbors talking inside their house. First rain the water from upstairs ran down to the first floor. It bubbled our walls. Our vents were in the walls pre-fire, now they are on the floors so you can't put anything over vents. Painted what they wanted, a lot not even painted. Walls are not straight. The owner was not there (unless I told him i was going to see the production) Also his workers were rarely on site. I received so many. All from my neighbors regarding the workers. It was scary. All in all. It is bad enough my house burnt down, had to go to a motel without anything, no clothing, shoes, important paperwork, medicines. But it cost me a fortune to fix all the crap the contractor messed up or didn't do. As for warranty NOPE.

  Save your hard earned money and huge aggravation. Use a good contractor.

  Install plumbing, sink and cabinet and water facet for garden hose on my roof deck

  In 2018, I hired Baldean to repair a roof leak involving my roof deck's pilot house and to repair my dryer vent (refer to those 2 reviews). When he removed the top landing of my roof deck stairs to determine the location of the leak, it provided the opportunity to easily install new plumbing for a sink with cabinet on my roof deck and a garden hose faucet (Note: Phila Bldg code required that a water faucet to be installed on my roof deck. But my home's original builder's general contractor - Anthony Valenti, DBConstruction Management LLC & DesignBuilders LLC - failed to install one. I hired Balden to complete this project. Job included installing pipes for water & drain from/to existing pipes & drain in my laundry room below roof deck, installing an access panel in roof deck stairway so I can shut off the water during winter, move existing exterior electric GFI outlet. I cannot provide a price for this project because I paid Baldean one price to complete several different projects that included this one.

  Build house

  This contractor stinks. He lacks the ability to follow through and fix mistakes or warranty work. Save your money hire someone else

  Full gut renovation

  $65,000

  I hired him to do a full gut renovation on a property in South Philly. He signed a contract to have it done in 4 months.

  Issues:
  1. He puts some new project manager on the job that doesn't know what he's doing.
  2. Has 2 guys working on the job that like to drink beer while working.
  3. Was almost 4 month late because it took almost 8 months to complete.
  4. Doesn't stick to pay schedule because he is always broke and cries he needs money to keep on moving forward with the job.
  5. Workers are always complaining that he doesn't pay them on time.
  6. I had to jump in to help finish the job. He hires guys of the corner that do not care or are skilled.

  Save yourself a headache and spend the money and hire a real contractor.
