Eric Beard
Eric Beard and Beard Construction do not do quality work and do not back up their workmanship. They do not monitor their subcontractors and let less than quality work pass as satisfactory. I had a home built by them in 2004. I had recurring issues with the master shower. Both the sub-contractor and Beard Construction were called back several times to address the issue. Never was it fixed, but rather a bandaid applied to get me through until that failed and inevitably it did. Finally in the fall of 2010, they were called back again. This time it was apparent that the damage was significant and had been ongoing since construction. I was put off by Beard Construction on a repair and finally they would not return any phone calls or emails. I had no choice but to hire an independent floor contractor to fix the shower, and when they ripped apart the old, they found that the original installation was done completely wrong and that water had been mildewing my entire sub floor and surrounding wall board including the master closet, where even the carpet had been ruined. Beard never returned calls and never attempted to make it right in anyway. I took him to small claims court, but the law says I only have 6 years from the completion of construction to file an action. This is an injustice as this was an ongoing problem that Beard was well aware of that he chose to never address correctly. He got off scott free.
Do not let this happen to you! His work and company is sub-par and he will not back up what he does.
