My son hired Bill Howard and sons, he was the Absolute horrible contractor we ever hired. He was never on time for a scheduled appointment, he 1/2 finished the job and used a bait and switch tactic for pricing. He is a sham, save yourself pain and money and DON'T HIRE HIM

On May 9, 2014, my spouse and I went to Bill Howard and Son Landscaping located in West Berlin, NJ, With regards to getting a paver patio done to our house. On this date, we provided the required down payment of xxx to purchase our pavers and secure our start date which was originally scheduled for July 7, 2014. Due to personal reasons, we contacted the company in June with regards to our options of canceling or rescheduling. We were told by Jackie, the Rep for the company, that our pavers had been ordered and they would work with us in regards to a new date. We thanked her and told her we would call in a few days with a date that best fits our schedule. Later that week we called back numerous times to reschedule, but no one answered our calls nor called us back. It was not until we drove to Bill Howard and Son's location in West Berlin, NJ unannounced when we finally met with them. Upon arrival, we were told that Mr. Howard was not in for the day, but we clearly knew he has there based off his Black Hummer parked outside the building. After speaking with Jackie, she ended up saying he was in the office and will meet with us. After meeting with Mr. Howard, we agreed to be put on a scheduled start date of Aug 4, 2014. We notified them that we would make ourselves available that date. On Aug 4th, my wife and I took personal time off from work to make ourselves available. To our demise, we waited for them to come but no one came. Again we called from multiple phone numbers numerous times, left messages, text, and no one called back. No one came by for those two days we took off from work. Eventually later that week, We were told that they would have to reschedule. We then rescheduled for the following week and again when the date approached they could not do it. It was rescheduled for Aug 27, again a no show on that date. On Aug 28th we requested our full refund for failure to perform. We were denied and told they will keep the money or to pick up the pavers. We took him to court and received a full refund. Stay away from this company.

This man does not honor his warranty. He is rude and his work is fair at best. We have reported him to BBB and state attorney General. We have a swimming pool on our patio everytime it rains. Please do not use him. Call the BBB before you use him.

My experience with bill Howard and son was actually wonderful.they built me a pool and patios including a outdoor kitchen with cultured stone. I would give bill Howard and son a 10. I could not be happier with a contractor. Thank you.

My experience with Bill Howard and Son was nothing but positive. He replaced my deck with an acid wash marble patio, double sided fireplace and pergola. It came out great and we have received nothing but positive feedback from neighbors and friends. His crew was there Monday-Saturday every day and finished it all in two and half weeks. Bill not only did exactly what he said he was going to do but he has creative artistic ideas that ensures that there is a flow with your house and the materials he provides. I had five contractors come out and give me an estimate and Bill not only beat the their price but finished everything he said on time and within the budget we agreed on. We have used many contractors in our former house having spent well over $100K in upgrades over 13 years so I know the good contractors from the bad and I would not hesitate to use Bill again.
