He took a $4500 deposit, did no work and will not return the deposit. He lied to me repeatedly until i questioned him and then blocked my calls. He is a liar and a thief and i am now seeking restitution through every avenue. Hopefully making case for criminal prosecution.

If I could rate a contractor as negative stars this would be the situation. I have never had such a horrible experience – and that includes a time when a contractor disappeared after I gave them $1000 deposit. Yes - I would rather be ripped off quickly than work with BKC and Kirk Cerise.
Summary
• We got our insurance quote claim completed on 8/21/2015
• Services were finally completed on 8/25/2016 – over one year later
• Throughout that year there were massive gaps in communication where Kirk would go completely silent. We would ask multiple times for updates and would not get any information at all.
• In 2015 Kirk completely disappeared. We later found out he was on vacation or having surgery. No information provided.
• When the materials were dropped off the team left the back gate to the backyard open exposing the entire backyard and its contents to everyone (I knew they couldn’t lock it but still – have some integrity and close the darn gate).
• Some of the materials were left in the front yard so they could have been easily stolen. I had to move them to the backyard.
• BKC needed the dumpster to arrive for them to start work. This is an area where excuses and communication fell apart on numerous occasions. Multiple times we were told it was being delivered that day and then nothing would be delivered. I would ask why and not answer provided. About 4 weeks passed with regular requests for information and either no or false information provided.
• The gutters were installed incorrectly. We were so mad that we just had another contractor fix the problem. We also did not get a discount from Kirk on them doing the job wrong.
• A painter was sent to our house without telling us. A person was wandering around the yard looking at our house during the day. We reacted with concern since we didn’t know the painter was coming to evaluate their work. That interaction did not go well. Additionally, Kirk did not come with the painter nor was any information provided except for the address.
• Another painter was found 5 months later and they were also not provided any instructions on scope of work, what was needed, etc. so we were responsible for educating the painter on the effort. This time we were notified.
• I had to threaten Kirk of no payment if work was not completed after 2 months of silence. That finally got him moving.
• Kirk never took accountability for any of his work. He always blamed others (including us for scaring of the painter).
• The day after city inspection was completed (5 months after the roof was done) final invoice was provided with an expectation of next business day payment. When I said that wasn’t going to happen as we wanted to review the invoice (we didn’t trust it but it turned out to be accurate), we needed to transfer money to the correct account and we were traveling Kirk got mad and stated that payments were made a while earlier and I was being a bad person in delaying payment. Pathetic.
Hundreds of texts and 12 months later the work was finally complete. The nightmare is finally over - for us. Hopefully others can learn and avoid.
