We hired Black Forest Construction to come behind another contractor that took advantage of us. Not only did they fix all the issues left previously but helped us stay near to our original budget.

By Kelly M.July 3, 2023Repair Stair Skirting$4,800
Needed stair skirting fixed from a botched flooring job by another company. Tony told us it would take 3 visits and it would look professional when it was done. Not only does it not look good, the job was never finished. We last saw Tony on April 5th. On this visit he begged us to pay him so he could pay his employees. We paid him half up front and my opinion is that the job that he did do was not worth the $1200 we paid him. It was terrible workmanship at this point, so I told him that I would pay him when the job was done. I am so glad we did not pay him, as he has never came back and talked to us or made any attempt to finish the job. We ended up finishing the job ourselves.

By Carl S.June 9, 2023Finish basement$34,000
My experience was not good working with Black Forest construction. Tony (Anthony) quoted me 6 to 8 weeks for completion of my basement. We are know on the second year with no plans for completion

Please use anyone else, ANYONE ELSE. After 20 months of excuses and 58 Thousand dollars, only 25% complete. Had to finish it myself. Nothing this guy did was level, plumb or square. Had to re do all the electrical as he tried to put 14ga wire in my kitchen addition and code is 12ga. The roof he did leaked so bad it was like a waterfall inside the addition, had to completely pull it it re do it. Floor in the addition is so off that it's 1" lower on one side than the other. He spanned 17ft at 24"centers with only 9-1/2" joists(code is 12" for that span. Foundation isn't level, plumbing and hvac he did had to be re done as well. He took our deposit money on march 4th of 2022, didn't break ground until May. Was supposed to be done by July of 2022. Bad roof finally went on in September of 2023 year and a half later then I had to remove it and re do it in his crew almost all quit because he wanst paying them. The only one that stayed only stuck around because he lives in the owners yard. November after letting him go. I could go on and on with the details but the bottom. Line is, you're time and money ahead by hiring anyone else. Good luck.
