Bad communication. False Promises. Sub Par Work.
I would recommend using caution when considering this company. They are responsive when getting you booked but have inadequate follow though on the work and when that work fails after the check clears they will ignore you.
Their quote for painting my exterior landed in the middle and since I had a close personal connection that referred them hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of work I thought they would definitely take care of me to the expected standard of a good business.
I waited 6 months for the work (booked in the fall, came out in the spring- to be expected). We laid out detailed plans including photos and easy to read bullet point for what work needed to be done in each section. The work included chalking, two colors (trim one, main another), painting all the doors, fixing siding, and installing missing leaf guards.
The workers arrived had very little supplies and were given very little instructions. I basically had to be the supervisor while working my actual job. The workers had to go back for supplies several time delaying the work and were noticeably frustrated at times when I had to tell them “that’s not all”.
The siding guy never came out so to not delay the work further the painter repaired it the best he could but didn’t have the skill to put the siding up so he painted scraps and asked me it if could do it. I conceded this and the fact they didn’t Caulk anything, didn’t paint two of the doors ( I had not decided the color on one, so that was my choice), and didn’t do the leaf guards because he owner promised me that when it came time to sell my house if anything needed work they would come back out. Personal relationship, decent price, ok I’ll buy it.
Fast forward to the fall. The repairs siding is flapping in the wind, the cold has spread the vinyl apart and my house now looks like it has stripes. Sent an email… crickets… reached out via phone after a week. They said they were too busy but I’m about to list the house and cannot get city approval without the repair so I insist. They promise to see what they can do and circle back. Got a reply to my original email the following week, a general PC “we don’t care, no sense of urgency” . Clearly the person I corresponded via phone didn’t communicate… 10 days for an email response, WOW. Via phone we set up for someone to be out within the week, mind you I have already touched up everything within reach (I’m 3 months pregnant, not getting on an extension ladder) so the time spent on site would be maybe an hour. Crickets…. Weeks later… crickets…

Like most home owners I was worried that I would not get what I was promised, or that a contractor would start, and never finish. I could not be happier with Bold Construction. From the beginning to the end, I was kept in the loop as to when, what , where and how . Anton and Tony were wonderful to work with. I will most definitely use them again.
