By Olivia M.November 30, 2019They were hired by Cactus Doors and Trim to install Dual Pane windows$17,000Read more
Five years ago I had Cactus Doors and Trim install dual pane windows. My daughter arranged her window installation through them also. Cactus Doors subcontracted the installation through Borman Enterprises in Scottsdale. Windows at both residences were installed. Within 1 year my windows began to shift outward so I contacted Mark at Cactus Doors and he gave me Tom Borman’s phone number and asked me to contact them, so I did. They came out and recaulked 3 windows. I asked the guys who came if the windows were screwed into the window frame. They told me that the movement was the natural shifting of the house. Fast forward to 6 months ago. My window washer alerted me to the fact that I had several windows moving. Actually they were moving out (falling out) about 1/2”. I had a contractor friend of mine come and tell me that all the windows except 1 were being held in with caulk only. This was extremely dangerous since the windows could dislodge in high winds…like the tornado warnings we just had 2 weeks ago. My daughter called Cactus Doors and Trim, which has a new owner now, and they said they didn’t have any records from the previous owner. She also tried Tom Borman who has not returned her call. It took me 3 months to find someone who was Jeld Wen certified and they did a great job screwing the windows in and caulking both inside and out. It cost me $480. The were very professional and informative. I feel that Tom Borman should return my daughter’s phone call and refund me the $480. They may not be qualified to put in dual pane windows but they should pay for her window reinstallation as well.

Used this company back in 2016. Tom never told me when the countertop was damaged, but I noticed and had it fixed. My floor tile he installed by sight, well has several higher spots. He was told about a couple spots where he didn’t put any grout in, but never got back to me. When I did call him a second time he said he had a note to come out on his computer but he never did get back to me. I was thinking of writing sooner, and I’m sorry I didn’t. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Shame on you Tom!!
