I signed a contract with this company in October 2012 to enlarge my upper and lower patios, put Trex railings around and Trex on the deck, build stairs with Trex railings. It was supposed to be completed in 5 weeks. It is NOW 2 YEARS LATER and the job is still not completed.
I have called and sent emails requesting information on when they will finish the job.
Months go by without ant communication from them and when they do respond it is to tell me that someone will call me back with the status, but nobody calls back.
I'm a single, older woman who paid cash for this job and they won't finish it. I had never contracted anyone to do a big job and this has been a nightmare experience.
In June they sent me an email saying they were having financial hardship and if I wanted them to finish the job, I would have to pay $5100 for more Trex materials. I didn't want to do that, but I wanted the job done and hoped Jack from Bottomline would honor his word and get the job completed. (Someone from Bottomline originally ordered the Trex materials in the wrong size and installed it, then the Fullerton inspector said it was too short and it had to be removed) So I put on my credit card and they came out for 1 week in July and haven't been back. Apparently not enough was ordered so they just stopped. I don't know what to do. If I had some money I could take them to court and maybe the judge would order them to finish. I don't know how this construction business works.
I would absolutely NOT recommend this company. They take advantage of older people and don't keep their word, they send unqualified people out who do the wrong thing and don't finish the job I paid them to do. BEWARE of trusting this company.
