My wife and I hired Brighton Contractors to perform a complete renovation of a loft in Soho. Brighton and its owner, Shuming Li, were recommended to me by a close friend who does real estate development in lower Manhattan. I was told that Brighton would not change order me to death. I was told that their work would be high quality. I was told that they would finish the job on time. My friend said, "trust me…this is the guy you want to do your renovation."
Now I'm going to tell you what happened. Shuming and and I met. We discussed what we wanted done. He gave me a price competitive proposal, and he promised that he wouldn't give me change orders. He also told me that he would get the project done in 5 1/2 months. He also told me that he takes tremendous pride in the quality of his work.
In the past 5 1/2 months, I've gotten to know Shuming and the Brighton team. They are finishing the job as promised and on time. I didn't see a lot of change orders. On the few occasions where I needed something re-done or changed, they did it immediately. They are passionate about quality.
My wife and I couldn't be more pleased that we chose Shuming Li and Brighton Contractors to do renovate our home.
