Beware making your decision based on Google reviews of Buckner Roofing. Because they had my first negative posting removed and then blocked. Maybe paid a company to do that, I don't know?? Do your homework before choosing this roofer. As if suffering through hurricane Ian hasn't been enough for all of us!
The owner is in his twenties and talks a good game because his daddy ran a roofing company his whole life. But there was a lot he never learned. He was not confident he could properly install a metal roof, like the one I now have from another company. So he pushed changes in pricing that weren't necessary. Then he walked off before the tear-off/dry-in was completed but tried to claim it was completed. Then Nate demanded a random percentage of the total cost of the job that "would" have been due as the rest of the job moved forward had he ACTUALLY completed that first stage. But I offered Buckner Roofing an amount three reputable roofing companies said was the cost of a COMPLETED tear-off/dry-in even though Buckner Roofing clearly never even completed the tear-off/dry-in. Instead Buckner Roofing is taking me to court, which is a farce but a travesty that will last two years. Buckner Roofing for me - the gift that keeps on giving!
Look at the pictures below of what I lived with for six months after a so-called "completion" of a tear-off/dry-in by Buckner Roofing. We also have $3,000- $8,000 in interior damage due to flooding from "so-called finished" tear-off/dry-in by Buckner Roofing. Does it look completed to you? Would you want to live like this after they leave your job-site?
Do your research and Google the owner Nate Buckner and look closely, and then make your own decision. The good news is I also can now recommend two very competent local Roofing companies with years and years of 5 star reviews. Check out Sable Roofing & Champion Roofing for yourself. Good luck and I hope you get it right the first time!
