I purchased a home from Buildtor, LLC with the understanding—based on the seller’s disclosure—that plumbing repairs had been completed and all drains were functional. After moving in, I uncovered major issues: the main sewer line was still damaged despite claimed repairs, supply lines to both hose bibs had been cut and drywalled over, and several interior drains were tied into severely corroded cast iron.
No plumbing permits were pulled, raising serious concerns about the quality and legality of the work. Whether they used unlicensed contractors or did the work in-house, the result was substandard and costly.
I’ve since spent over $6,000 on professional repairs. Although Buildtor acknowledged the problems in a phone call and discussed reimbursement, they never followed through and stopped responding entirely.
I strongly recommend others exercise extreme caution before doing business with Buildtor, LLC.
