Following my reviews dated Nov. 20, 2019 and June 16, 2021, I would like to add that I thank Stephen for a wonderful remodeling job he did at my residence. Stephen would be an excellent contractor to hire if he improves his communication skills and respond promptly to phone calls and text messages. He is a dedicated and hard working contractor with no subs. I have had no problem in regard to minor remodeling if he would have called me or would have sent a text message that he cannot or will not be able to do my minor remodeling.

I hired Stephen Cameron on October 2019 to do few remodeling and upgrade in a home we bought two year ago in Roseville in a gated community and rented till July 2019. These remodeling includes hallway bath room, master bath, fireplace and TV areas, gap cook top, kitchen cabinet back splash areas, stairs railing. As of the date of this writing he is still working to complete the jobs and we are extremely happy with his work. He has been very accommodating to our additional job request. The nice thing about him is that he is not having subcontractors to perform the jobs. He does everything we asked for professionally. Of course we had to hire granite installer, painter, and laminate installer separately. I highly recommend him for remodeling.

Stephen Cameron did a residential addition on our property at 2183 Amanda Way. We are very displeased with his work. The floors have air pockets because they were not floated; the paint in every room is streaked; in one of the master bedrooms there are two colors of paint, in the same room, and patches of paint that are flat paint mixed with eggshell paint; water pools in one area of one a master shower floor and the area takes days to dry; when we turn on the air conditioner the exhaust fans in the bathrooms come on; the doorbell rings randomly; the attic door is broken; the pergola is sturdy but is built very poorly with wood sizes not matching, white paint painted over green paint, raw edges showing (the same as was done on the windows and the bottom of the exterior siding), and the concrete at the base of the the panels are cracked and broken and the posts are not the size the architectural plans state and are not anchored correctly; the lower cabinets are not flush with the drawers and they stick out; he built a refrigerator cabinet which was not on the plans that does not fit he refrigerator and he was the one who gave us the dimensions of the refrigerator in the first place; the ceiling lights do not cover the entire hole; my vanity was marred because his staff put their bottles on it, I have two permanent bottle marks on the vanity counter; they scratched our island; the City of Sacramento's inspector issued a list of 37 violations which needed to be added or fixed, which he ultimately passed however a second inspection, which we requested yielded tow more infractions, he added an outlet in the garage but his drilling left a hole in our great room and when told to cover the wires in the garage, he broke sticks and placed them in the top of the garage with raw edges and broken spikes of wood sticking out. There are additional problems but I am just giving some highlights. I just wanted you to know.
7/24/2019 Update: Stephen Cameron's bond company has paid us the full value of his bond. This information was sent to the CSLB and as a result his license has been suspended.

I would like to respond to the negative review of Cameron Construction posted by "Jacquelyn J" in 2018. I was about to hire Cameron Construction, and this review was disturbing to me! However, after I looked into it myself, I saw that, factually, what she posted just isn't true. I happen to know one of her neighbors, and this woman is known as being completely off her rocker. A local business shouldn't have to suffer from a negative review by someone who's grip on reality is so tenuous. First, the City of Sacramento actually inspected and approved the entire project and marked it approved and complete. There were zero violations reported by the City, nor was Cameron Construction's license ever suspended.
I ended up hiring Cameron Construction, and they did an amazing job! I'd hire them again anytime.
