I contracted with Cappola Painting (Frank Cappola) to paint our house exterior based on recommendations from friends. I paid a $1000 deposit on Aug 22nd. He said he would start work several times, but never showed and didn't call. On Oct 14 we told him that it was too late to paint (weather was changing) so we would try again in the spring. He agreed to return our deposit. That is the last we have heard from him, and he won't return our calls. He blew off the BBB and responded cryptically to our friends (that recommended him initially). I have filed with small claims court to get my deposit back.
