If I could give zero stars, I would.
Working with Ben Gross of Carbon Build & Design has been the worst experience I’ve ever had with a contractor. We signed a contract on July 22, 2024, with a promised completion date of September 1, 2024. That deadline came and went, with much of the work still incomplete, and our backyard a complete mess.
On November 20, 2024, we made the mistake of paying Ben in full, despite the project being incomplete. A new agreement was signed, stating the remaining work would begin March 1, 2025 and be completed by April 30, 2025. It is now September 20, 2025, and the project is still unfinished.
Ben has repeatedly failed to show up, made countless excuses, and broken every commitment. His communication is unreliable at best, and he has not responded to my demand for a partial refund so we can hire someone else to finish the job.
Do not hire Ben Gross or Carbon Build & Design. Save yourself the stress, time, and financial loss. This has been a deeply disappointing and frustrating experience.
