Chubby Construction is an amazingly professional company run by Howard Lai, an incredibly intelligent and hard working GC. They are fast, professional, and extremely conscientious. They will not be the cheapest bid, but they will do the work that they promised, as promised. I used them to redo 4 bathrooms, kitchen, and all the electrical in my 1950s San Mateo home for re-sale. The ROI for his work was 200%! Howard will work with you to get what you want and how you want it. I've had general contractors promise me the moon only to go 30% overbudget due to their mismanagement. Howard will explain to you if there's an overrun, why it happened, and most importantly, your options and the total cost. He'll send you detailed information with pictures and suggestions and give you a detailed revised invoice. I couldn't be happier to recommend him.
