The 2 month process turned into a nightmare in the first 3 weeks. Walt was nice enough at first. He came and looked at the job site. We showed him everything and covered all the problems. He continually stated there would be no issues or problems with the job and the things we were worried about would not be an issue as he had dealt with worse situations. He provided a quote that was reasonable and was paid a deposit of 1/2. The day before he was supposed to start he asked if he could wait to start. When I said no because the schedule had been set he failed to show and complete the job. With much work and almost a month later I was able to get him complete the 1st half of the job. However, again when he was supposed to come and finish the entire job he stated he would not be able to and would be coming later in the week. He showed up later in the week worked for about an hour and stated the issues he assured me would not be a problem were too hard and he could not complete the job until I took steps to remediate the issue. When I tried to explain to him that this was unacceptable and he needed to finish the job or provide a discount for delaying the job he refused. Needless to say, 2 month later everything is still delayed and I now have to find a new flooring contractor. He then sent me a bill claiming 8 hours of work on the day he was there for 1 hour.
I cannot recommend him to anyone and advise people to look else were due to all the problems.
