  build a garage and reside part of my house

  unprofessional, unfinished, rip off

  I had john build a garage and re-side one side of my house after I had a fire. I would give him a zero, but I the lowest is a one star. When he pulled/replaced my windows to house wrap and side, he left a huge mess inside my house and did not put back up the insude trim which he removed. His electrition used my personal screws and other supplies when he ran out without asking first or offereing to resupply, and his electrition ruined my shelves in my barn when they ran electricity to my barn, never tried to fix or offer to replace. Left all the nails old siding tar paper from the tear down of the old siding, (and said that he did not figure that into his quote). My garage cost about $20,000 and he tried to not put garage door openers, I said this to him and the next day there were 2 garage door openers purchased in my garage, they were never installed. I had a 6 ft garage door installed in my back of my garage for equipment and my lawn tractor, he put my entrance door in with the wrong swing (it hit the track before the door was even open 90*) he tried to stay it will be fine and it did not be fixed, I told him no, thats not acceptable, he did reverse the door, but then the switched wer behind the door, he moved the switch to the other side of the door, (he pulled the wires, and did not have his electrition do the job like it was done the first time) John never patched up his drywall from pulling the wires, and 2 of my exterior lights do not work now that he pulled them. He never cleaned up the mud all over my new garage floor. He started the project coming 6-7 days a week all day, when the main part was done, he draug it out over 2 months doing the little stuff, This was covered by my insurance, and had to be completed by 6months after the fire, so at the start of the building I asked him this will be done by december 9th right, he laughed and said it better, he was still working on things mid december he started in August ( a 24x30' garage and residing 2 sides of a standard house). Then he approached me in mid december and said he misquoated me and it was going to cost me $6000 more, I told him no I was not paying $6000 more, plus this was covered by insurance and it has been over 6 months. This is the last time I have seen mr goss and I have tried to call him multiple times with no response. He does not finish jobs, he leaves a mess on the work site, tries to rip you off, I would not recommend anyone to Construction by John Goss.
