  Mike has been doing a variety of very small to very large jobs since i bought my house in Bennington in 2007 - he's there in a flash for a small leak, or puts in a new boiler in record time. He's installed 2 Mitsubishi air handlers in the past 6 months and did a whiz bang job. Years ago he replaced a kick heater in the kitchen that had never worked when I bought the place and it's perfect now. I've recommended him to numerous friends, all of whom thank me heartily. I cannot fathom that the two nasty reviews here are about the same person who has been in and out of house dozens of times in 14 years, always doing great and affordable work.

  Build Heating system

  $7,000

  Stay away from MIKE Crawford
  He quoted me a job for a complete heating system. 2 hot air furnaces.
  Said he was slow and could do quick.
  He took my money then all of a sudden he was busy. Couldn't start my job.
  He came by a coupe months later cut some holes in my ceiling then disappear ed again.
  Told me he ordered the 2 furnaces.
  They never showed up.
  All I have is a little duct work thrown in my attic and holes cut in ceiling.
  1 year later he quit...
  Gives me a check for 430.00 said that's all that's left from 5500.00 del for a 7000.00 job.
  He is a thief with a very colourful past.
  Use Google and believe it all.
  He denies it all says it's someone else.
  It's not. It's him
  Now I start legal proceedings against him.

  Remodel-Kitchen and bathroom

  He was brought on the job by my contractor to do a "small" plumbing project. As far as I know the quality of the work is fine(no problems yet.) The issue is with his business practices. He left us a bill, the day he finished, with a materials fee of $1,588.00-no other information. When asked for an itemized bill he told us if he had to do itemize it would cost us more because he would "remember" the things he took off his truck. He also said he didn't have an invoice because he usually ordered per specific job(implying he didn't do that for ours.) 6 pages of invoices later and one hand written page of things he remembered taking off his truck, barely legible, it still didn't equal $1588.00. The first large order was a huge materials order which we don't believe all of the items could have possibly been used for our small project, but we are not plumbers. If you are using this guy get everything in writing and be very careful. His business practices are highly unprofessional.
