We just built a house with this company, and it was not an enjoyable experience. We had mold growing on the wood in the basement because they did not cap the holes left in the walls for the plumbing and water, sand, and mud were pouring into the basement for months. They knew this and ignored it and installed the basement stairs. They fought with us for weeks about removing the stairs and replacing them. I even brought in a mold specialist. The basement floor started cracking within days of them pouring it. They do not take notes when you talk to them and "forget" conversations about what you want done or just assume without asking. They responded to text messages confirming they received our messages and then claimed to have never received them. Any contractors we used, that they did not recommend, had a hard time working with them. They did not make the deposit on our cabinets in a timely manner, delaying them. They expected the other contractors to be there at a drop of a hat without notifying us or the outside contractors beforehand of where they were at in the process. The painter they use is very sloppy and did not cover the floors while working. I spent 2 weeks cleaning paint splatter off of hardwood, tile, windows, etc. Their plumber installed a faucet that didn't work and did not communicate that with anyone. Dean and Dave never noticed. Once we brought it to their attention weeks later, a new one was ordered, but it delayed us moving in for a few weeks. The tile in the master bath was laid crooked and has a cracked piece. There is a gouge in the bathtub countertop surface. The grout has several air bubble holes in it throughout the house. There are several chips in the hardwood floor throughout the house. There are spots where they "forgot" to texture the ceiling. They installed the towel bar too close to the shower door, so it hits it. They put the bathroom door handle on backwards. There is an obvious wave in one of the walls. Their excuse is because that is where the sewer vent is. They should have used 2x6 to frame in that wall. They did not provide us with any of the material needed for the faucet warranties. This is not a company we enjoyed working with and will not be recommending them.
