Provided me with a bid as requested in early July. A week before closing they retracted the bid because I hired a separate contractor to do only the flooring. The original bid excluded flooring to begin with so I couldn't understand why this was a problem. Mark Warr accused me of "misleading" him by hiring his company to do the entire house but another company just for the flooring work. I told him before he ever did the original bid not to include flooring, which he didn't. I'm not sure why it became an issue out of the blue a week before closing but it cost me the property. Now my future is completely uncertain because I couldn't get another extension for the loan to hire another contractor. I should also note that he sent bids directly to my lender and I had to ask for copies several times before I finally received them. He was attempting to get construction costs approved by my lender without my knowledge or approval. I found out through the paperwork given to my lender that he was overcharging for everything and including cost of materials although I specifically explained to him on several occasions that I would provide all materials. Extremely unprofessional.
