We hired Dan to install a fairly large metal roof in June of 2019 for our garage in Gibsonia. He was on time and personable, and completed the job within the timeframe we agreed upon.
He was very knowledgeable and helpful. Although we weren't doing the project ourselves as (my husband) anticipated, Dan made sure we were involved in every step and decision of the project. I'm not sure what all these negative reviews are about, and to be honest I feel the majority of people who write reviews aren't like Jim and I. The ones who go out of their way to write something are often those who are unhappy with the final product and unfortunately I feel you're not always getting the full story.
Nonetheless 3 years later and our roof is still holding up strong and sturdy, thank you Dan! We're going to have him do our back patio next summer. Would definitely recommend this guy, you can tell this guy puts his heart and soul into his work. A+++

Avoid Dan Chajkowski and run. This guy does not have the experience. Very bad work. Jacked up my project and left with my money.

I agree with the first review. Pass this guy up.
We hired this guy, Dan Chajkowski, in December 2017 to do a major home renovation. The project was large and involved every room in our 1880s farmhouse. Dan breached our contract by walking off the job December 26, 2018 after being 6 months past the May 2018 completion date in our contract.Dan filed for bankruptcy in November 2017 and did not advise us of this information when we hired him I. December 2018. In my opinion, he filed for bankruptcy so he didn’t have to pay $100,000 in damages to the other reviewer.
His construction is poor and a home diyer, at best. Dan’s construction work needed to be corrected by us on at least 5 separate occasions. Dan is also a CHRONIC liar! Each and every day there was a new lie or excuse. His sidekick, Rob, smokes like a chimney and discards his 100s of cigarettes in your yard! Disgusting!!!Save yourself a headache and Pass this contractor up and find someone that you don’t have to micromanage and trust.

In April 2017, I hired Dan Chajkoski to fix my roof. The original scope of work included installing a metal roof on one part of the house and rubber on the other. After our due diligence (references, insurance check, reviews, proper licensing, etc.), we awarded him the job. As the job advanced, we realized we needed new trusses. Dan and I agreed on a new scope of work and price point. During the construction, it became obvious that Dan is not a professional and knew very little about home construction. There are many examples, but for the sake of brevity I will give one. Dan proceeded to remove all the old asphalt shingles and old rubber of a 2800 sqft ranch house, without sufficient time and manpower to install the new roof ASAP. At the very least Dan should have protected the home from the elements by using sufficient tarping. Dan did not install the roof nor secure a proper tarp in time before a very large rain storm. Consequently, 80% of our home was destroyed. The damages cost about 100k to fix. Dan handled the situation poorly. He was unprofessional and unsympathetic. Obviously, we could not begin fixing the interior until the roof was complete. He did not finish the roof until September of 2017. His quality of work is below average. We have already had two more leaks, and some of his “fixes” have already proved to be otherwise. I had to hire a more competent person to fix his original work. Dan turned out to be a glorified DIYer. I strongly recommend that you avoid using Dan Chajkowski for ANY home project. Do yourself a favor and hire a true professional. Dan does great work. He installed exterior doors for us.. very dependable and conscientious about his work. He takes pride in what he does. Had a small issue and Dan came out quickly and fixed the problem. Great to have him do the work for us
