David started our pool last July and said he would be finish by October. We gave him 25,000.00 to get us through the gunite phase. He dug the pool the wrong depths and the hot tub and Baja lounge were both the wrong width 5 ft to narrow. When we discussed with him and said he needed to fix it he went on vacation for 2 weeks and after that he never would come back and fix it. We ended having to sue him for our money back and to dug out all the concrete in the pool and redig it to the right specifications, We won the case and we finally got all of our money back, but it has taken almost a year for that to happen. Now we get to start all over a year later. DO NOT USE THIS GUY!

We gave David Douglass several hundreds of dollars in October of 2011 and he has refused to give us the pool cover he supposedly ordered. I have called, sent notices, and finally told him to go ahead and please return our money since he is not installing the cover. He does not return phone calls, and does not seem to care. I have since heard from another person who has said he has not finished their pool yet even though they have paid in full. It has been 18 months for them too. Be careful!!!!

February 2021, We contracted with David to build a pool and hot tub. Original statements were that it would be completed Mother’s Day 2021. The pool is still not completed. We have had to remove tile work due to shoddy workmanship and had to dig up plumbing and electrical conduit. Some of the lines were not ran out all the way and were buried incomplete. It has been a continual battle to get him and his crew here to work on the pool. Multiple excuses on product unavailability. The last time they were here was over a month ago. We receive continuous promises that they will be here and they never show up. We have had to take much of the work on ourselves in a redo or finish format. Thanks for my son is a builder or we would have never gotten the tile completed by David. What he did do, we had to tear out mostly and redo due to poor workmanship. We are still struggling to get him back for pool equipment and plaster. He currently has our money for the pool equipment. If we cannot get to a resolution we are going to go to Arkansas Contractor Board and BBB as well as pursue legal remedy if necessary. I would highly caution the use of David Douglas for any pool or SPA project.
