Had a very similar experience to Jillians. David does not respond to anything. He acts like he has no idea what a change order is. It will take him weeks to get you an estimate on anything if you even get it. He cuts corners at every single stage and is overall very cheap. Avoid at all costs. You will be glad you did.

Do you research before picking any ordinary contractor. Many people can build a house. David has a difficult time responding to his clients - which is necessary to maintain a business. You can't just blow people off. I had to be on top of my game to ensure this new home went the way I dreamed of it to be. He dropped the ball on ordering light fixtures on my new construction home so I was left to buy them out of pocket on an extreme time crunch before closing. I have been contacting him for 4 months now and I have not received my credit check. Also, 1 year warranty? It's worthless if he doesn't get back to you. Remove extra parts left on your new lawn? Took months to get that addressed. He offered me a quote with a closet organizer for the walkin closet - never happened nor was it talked about. It was built without me. It's quite unfortunate how negative I sound because he did a few good things for me in the early process, but, overall, I can't stand this guy.

David and his team completed our project and they did an amazing job. He was hugely attentive to detail and timeline and I would strongly recommend him to anyone looking for a competent and diligent project manager/builder.

Terrible communicator. Everything done at the last minute, which compromised the vision we had for our home, forcing us to select “this will have to do” options for a home that was supposed to be “fully customizable”. Nothing completed on punch list yet, and we are two months into the home; including not having a working front door, a cracked bath tub, damaged bathroom tile, punctures in drywall, etc. Rather than doing the right thing, and at least enabling the front door to be used to correct a basic safety hazard, David has put it on the manufacturer and will not return to the house to face us, or our neighbors, who also just built with him and had an eerily similar experience. In the words of our attorney, “this is not how I would ever go about solving this problem as a builder or seller, but this is what he’s chosen to do.” No integrity, no pride in his work. Thinking about the whole experience turns my stomach. Don’t waste your time with this company, building your home is too important a job; you want it to be right and stress-free as possible. David is not capable of providing that experience.
