Would not recommend this company. Andy is a scammer. Once he get your money he doesn’t return calls. I have emails and text that he promised to fix the crack in my new driveway and 2 years later still not done. Also look at BBB he has unresolved issues. This is not a company you can trust. De Hoyos took a $7000 deposit 15 months ago, has done no work, and refuses to return our money.
Detailed version:
In November of 2019 we hired De Hoyos to do a significant amount of concrete work on our property. We signed a contract with him, paid a $7000 deposit, and as of February 2021 there has been no progress. No permits, no removal of the old, no installation of the new, nothing but excuses.
Whenever we asked about when work would start, we were told that they were having trouble getting supplies due to the pandemic. According to his Google reviews though he's had plenty of supplies to do other jobs in 2020.
Our contract stated that if the work was not completed by the end of 2020 we would receive our deposit back in full. At the start of 2021 we requested our money back and he asked if we could "talk about it." I decided it would be best if he talked to my lawyer instead, as I don't have time to listen to more excuses.
Through my lawyer we negotiated that he would have two weeks to return the deposit. Two weeks went by and I'd received nothing. My lawyer called and he said that he had mailed the check so we gave it another week. Still no check.
We have escalated to small claims court for breech of contract.
