    I would not recommend DeGeer Construction to anyone. Their prices are reasonable but I guess you get what you pay for. I regret not paying attention to these negative reviews earlier. We hired Victor to do a few tasks on our newly purchased house as he was recommended by a trusted realtor. He was very communicative until he got paid and then completely ghosted us.

    He shortened our deck to create a parking space in the back. After they were done, they left all the nails just laying around on the deck or in the backyard without any clean-up or regard for safety. We still find a few nails in our backyard on occassion. He was supposed to create dry storage underneath our deck which he completely botched. There were big puddles of water in the storage space when it rained. He did not respond to our repeated attempts to contact him and fix it. He finally responded when we requested the realtor who recommended him to mediate. He tried to fix it twice but without success. I tried to contact him again to either fix it or provide us a refund as the work promised was not done. He has chosen again not to respond to any of our phone calls/texts/emails.

    I am going to pursue this further in the Small Claims Court. Now, it's not so much for the money as it is to hold them accountable. I would hate for anyone else to have a similar experience.

    Do not do any work for this contractor unless you get paid up front.
    I have contacted him by mail and phone with no success.
    I have now placed him with a collection company for what ever good that
    will do. In short don't hire him or work him.

    This contractor never completed the job. He left paint overspray on furniture and personal items, and has not been back to jobsite or called since November of last year. CANNOT recommend.
