  Derrick Blanton was our builder when we decided to build a new home in Pawleys Plantation. It was our first custom built home but had owned many homes in the past. What can I say about Derrick and the quality of his companies work except to tell anyone who reads this that it will be your loss if you are unable to hire him. We built a 3300 sq. foot home on a .7 acre lot. with approx. 1000 extra sq. feet of storage that could be expanded very easily into extra living space. There is also a screened porch with fireplace that is another 450 sq. feet of heated space...that is what I said...heated! We added an EZ- Breeze system at his suggestion that allows us to use our screened porch year around here in Pawleys. I know construction and I can tell you that this house is quality from top to bottom, behind the walls and in front of the walls (I have video and pictures of every room prior to insulating and sheet rocking too). From beginning to the end of construction Derricks only concern was making sure we were happy with the house and making sure we were all on the same page as far as cost and any extras we wanted to add. I can't even begin to tell you how many times we saw the reality of the drawn plans and decided to "tweak" them just a bit and not once did Derrick add on an additional charge. If we didn't like it then it was changed but he did not hesitate to speak up if he believed we might be making a mistake, which we loved as he was always looking out for our best interests. I know this sounds almost too good to be true after hearing all the horror stories surrounding building your own home but Derrick is living proof that a man can be in business, make an honest profit and not gouge you or take advantage of you doing it. Have you ever heard of a builder that gave you a price at the beginning of home building and stuck to it...well then you need to meet Derrick. One last important note and that is we did not know Derrick before hiring him but am so glad we did.

  Derrick Blanton was our general contractor when we: added a sunroom and back porch with ramp; replaced all the carpeting with wood; enlarged and remodeled the master bathroom to be handicapped accessible; and widened all the doorways. We could have not been happier and more pleased with the results. Derrick always listened to our questions, concerns and input with great interest and respect. He was a pleasure to work with, always smiling and treating us as if we were his highest and only proirity. Derrick is truly a man of integrity. My husband and I highly recommend him.
