Frank did not complete an electrical plan with his design, as stated in his contract. We've had to spend hours with various electricians to get an accurate design to get the quotes together. We confronted Frank about this and he told us that we had needed to ask for those services, even though it was explicitly stated in the contract. Unfortunately, we've had to get an attorney involved to resolve this.
He also kept our original blue prints for over 2 months after completion of his design. He did not respond to texts, emails, or calls. Because he wouldn't respond and coordinate return of these documents, we were delayed in meeting with the engineer.
He mis-measured the walls in the master bathroom causing a complete redesign of the hallway/entry/bathroom doors.
He also didn't take into account the dormer/angled wall in the master bedroom and we are now needing to redesign the master closets. The measurements he provided did not allow the furniture to fit into the space, even though he was given measurements of those items.
During one of our meetings, he told us how he used to have a girlfriend who was bisexual and that they used to have threesomes - not entirely appropriate for business conversation.
Add all of this to his lack of responsiveness during the process and extreme tardiness (over an hour late on multiple appointments), we're understandably really frustrated with him.
It's just been a really frustrating process realizing all of his shortcomings now that we're under construction knowing that we paid him a sizable sum.
