  Terrible experience, huge delays, sloppy work, unsafe floor, intimidating threats, tax cheats.

  I do not recommend Diamond Crystal Epoxy Floors because of substandard craftmanship, significant delays on my project, unreliable communication, hazardous conditions, and intimidation from manager Robert Landy Jimenez. I lost thousands because of Diamond Crystal Epoxy Floors.

  In June 2020 an investigator with The Arizona Registrar of Contractors issued a written directive stating following to Diamond Crystal “You are directed to remedy the following violations by the appropriate means: Poor quality work for Epoxy Flooring - Approximately 75 instances of the following deficiencies throughout 600 sqft of residential floor.” The report went on to describe “floor peeling up”, “floor dangerously sharp, jagged pinpoint-like areas”, “epoxy contamination on light switches, countertops”.

  Robert and Scott B Hanson, the manager of sales, told me the job would take 1-2 days to complete but after nearly 3 weeks the project was still not complete. I am a first-time homeowner who was remodeling the first floor of my 600sqft townhouse. The job required my entire floor to be clear and I therefore had no use of a kitchen or refrigerator for nearly 3 weeks. This happened during quarantine when every restaurant was closed. I had no access to food for 3 weeks. Diamond Crystal did not care and continued to take other clients while I waited. Scott told me Robert even took an unannounced vacation in the middle of my delayed project.

  During my estimate, DCE’s manager of sales, Scott, either lied to me or did not understand how the company works. Scott told me that DCE had some special way of removing special way of removing my existing tiles and it they would take care of it quickly and at no extra cost. When Robert arrived on the first day he had no idea of the tiles, said it would cost extra, and generally confirmed Scott had no idea what he was talking about.

  Scott B Hanson advised me to pay fully in cash for a discount because then they would not have to report the income on their taxes. They are unabashed tax cheats.

  Robert repeatedly said "this is trash" when he finally came to my house to review the floor. We agreed that I was only supposed to pay when the job was completed. Robert demanded payment before the epoxy was even dry. I should still have half the cost of this job in my pocket. The floor color I selected was nowhere close to what I actually received in their first visit.

  Robert threatened me when I told him I planned to file a complaint with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors. He said “but if try and take the wrong path, keep in mind that this is not good for anyone”, and “if you make a complaint I can also pin the house, put a link to your house you can never sell it.

  Diamond Crystal failed to meet our agreement when they refused to make the necessary corrections to their deficient work quickly. I patiently waited at first for them to finish the job, but the engagement deteriorated after they left me for three weeks in a pandemic lockdown with no refrigerator and no place to eat. This company treated my home as a training ground, and I paid the price.
