For our fire restoration we uncovered thousands of dollars in some fictitious and many duplicate charges hidden throughout the contract. Tasks were not completed and the workmanship of subcontractors was very shoddy; new walls significantly out of plumb, door that fit poorly, fascia that was badly rippled, and materials used that were not as contracted.
