    Storm Door Install

Ordered a storm door through Home Depot who subcontracts Doors 4 You to do the professional install. Initially told it was supposed to be a 45-minute storm door installed by a professional, turned in to a 3-month headache. It started off with waiting about a month for the installer to finally call and schedule this install. They continually told Home Depot that their system was down and could not contact to schedule job, even though texts had already been sent between myself and the installer. Day of install, Alex (the "professional") installed a door that was visibly damaged on the outside but also had trim that was bent so the door was not only loud when opening and closing but bugs were coming into the house! On top of that, while installing the storm door, he drilled a screw right into our front door leaving it noticeably damaged. Alex, "professional" installer, did not mention any of this damage to us until we pointed it out to him. Once he was made aware of all that, his response was "the screw must've gotten away from me". Now we have to fix and paint our front door to make it look like it did BEFORE a so called professional installed it. About 1.5 months after the first appointment for installation, the storm door was finally replaced after 3 more visits from Alex, and we were promised a check to compensate us for the damage that Alex caused since "they are not responsible for damage repairs". Lie after Lie, numerous unreturned phone calls, and after opening a case with Home Depot corporate, 3 weeks later we finally received the compensation check we were promised.

We dealt with many individuals through doors 4 you (Steve, owner) and also RF install (Frank) and every single time we communicated with them, they were unfriendly and rude. They don't care about their customers' satisfaction and the installer, Alex, doesn't care about the job that is performed. From order to final install repair, we dealt with this company for over 3 months for a simple professional storm door install.

DO NOT RECOMMEND HAVING YOUR STORM DOOR INSTALLED THROUGH HOME DEPOT IF THEY SUBCONTRACT DOORS 4 YOU

Purchased a custom interior door from Home Depot. Door was beautiful; however, the installation process was a nightmare. The day my door was installed I looked at it and it closed properly. Within a week the handle was getting stuck inside the door. Home Depot stated this is not their problem because they put the new door in with old hardware and not their fault. I purchased a brand new door handle and Home Depot returned to replace the handle. The new door handle is still sticking. I received an invoice via email... spoke with 4 different people today trying to get my door paid for to be done with this. Now I am waiting on Dawn the CO (very rude) to call me back and try to get this settled. I recommend looking elsewhere for service to save yourself the headache.

Steve knows doors inside and out. I had several contractor who could not do my door project. He made sure the job was completed to my satisfaction and it was above my expectation. I would rate higher than 5 if I could.

Steve at Doors for you is very dishonest. He will cut a corner and screw the customer without a conscious. I will never buy a door from Home Depot, they use Doors for You for their installations.

Contractor through The Home Depot - front door installation
    $3,000

Leo installed our front door and said he would also reinstall our Ring doorbell for us. Without asking for placement for the doorbell on our new door frame, he installed it on our new trim — drilling 3 holes into it and leaving the doorbell hanging off the side. Due to this terrible judgment, our new storm door is not able to fit. When asked if he could fix it, he replied that he would not fix anything without approval from The Home Depot. He also lied and tried blaming my husband for his mistake. It’s a shame how he has handled the doorbell/screen door because he did a great job installing the front door. Although due to the mess he has caused, without any apologies or solutions offered, we would never recommend using Doors 4 You.
