Our house in Ballard was built in 2006 as was our neighbor's house. Both same design. My house is currently going through extensive under siding repairs due to poor quality barrier materials and workmanship. In some cases there was no barrier paper at all! My neighbor had the same problem. In one instance, the porch material was cut during the door installation that eventually allowed water to leak into the living area. After asking Mr. McGar to pay for half the repairs, he was quick to point out the house warranty had expired. In other words, tough luck. There were other small annoyances due to cost cutting here and there but the siding was simply shoddy. I'd hire my own inspector before buying another McGar construction.
