    EC Builders and Design, Inc is headed by Ernesto Casillas. He is a nice person and formerly head of EC Contracting & Development, bankrupt 2014. My contract included demolish and rebuilding of a home deck and stairs. There were many delays and the project was completed after 12 months at a cost exceeding $35K for labor & materials. An absentee and unresponsive contractor. Workers showed little attention to detail and mediocre skill assembling Trex decking and RDI metal railing. Quality control lacking. Work stoppages several times lasted weeks or months. Job site (home/yard and adjoining city property) littered with construction debris for months. Materials list generated by contractor and paid by home owner greatly exceeded needs. At one point was visited at my home by another irate customer seeking to confront Ernesto Casillas but had to admit I hadn't seen him in weeks. In my opinion, most suited for simple projects where time is not a factor.
