By Jeff T.January 25, 2016siding$9,500Took deposit and never delivered
The contractor took my deposit for siding and then never delivered any work. He has never arrived and after 3 months he did no work. I asked for my deposit and he has stolen it. His NJ and PA licenses are expired or revoked as of this time. He has lied repeatedly and taken my $9500. Beware of this contractor.

NO WAY CONSTRUCTION!... stay away, this is a sham!
Company is owned by Murillo Sousa. Estimator is Harry Frye. Home Advisor recommended Easy Way Construction LLC as a siding contractor. The Company office is at 101 Route 130 S., Cinnaminson, NJ. Mr. Sousa makes lots of promises, takes your money, and fails to deliver. So, beware, as here is my story.
Company contacted me and sent Harry Frye to provide an estimate. He took a few measurements, examined the blue prints and made notes on construction area. A PDF set of blue prints was provided to facilitate his estimate and within a short time Harry sent a bid. The price was significantly lower than other competitor. I was skeptical and drove over an hour to meet Mr. Sousa in his office. Oddly enough there were no construction trucks in the parking lot. I was told that he had a depot at 4001 Route 130 S. in Delran. It turns out that this is just a 10’x20’ storage unit.
According to Mr. Sousa, the Company has 17 crews of 5 to 6 employees that work on home construction for Toll Brothers. After contacting Toll Brothers, they said that they never heard of Easy Way Construction. When confronted, Mr. Sousa said that he works as a subcontractor for one of Toll Brothers contractors and showed me photos of some of the jobs they have completed.
Mr. Sousa seems like a nice man, so I trusted that he had the capability to complete my job as estimated. The contract promised to start within two weeks and would be completed in 7 days. A deposit that represented approximately 30% of the contracted amount was provided to cover cost of materials. He personally inspected the property and placed his company sign on my property. The materials were to be ordered by the Company and delivered to the job site. When materials were not delivered within 2 weeks, I contacted Mr. Sousa and he blamed a new supplier that had screwed up the order. He told me that he had placed the order with another supplier.
When the supplier from Blackwood, NJ contacted me and indicated that nothing had been ordered, it became a concern. No longer could I count on Mr. Sousa’s suppliers to make delivery. Therefore, a local supplier in Hopewell was suggested and Mr. Sousa placed a materials order, but failed to sign the credit authorization form required as a deposit on the order. So, materials were not ordered from the manufacturer.
Now four weeks had passed since signing the contract. I visited Mr. Sousa’s office again and Harry Frye and I viewed the blue prints and agreed on the material order. Again, Mr. Sousa promised to have the order placed and the credit authorization done the next day. They even had their assistant, Sue, swear to me that it was sent… NOT. Just more lies. This was the last straw!
Numerous text messages and phone calls ended in total frustration, precious lost time and no results. Finally, I reached Mr. Sousa and he told me that he needed more time and that “he couldn’t work this way.” Enough of these false promises! So, I contacted my bank and they reversed the charge to my credit card. Unfortunately, MR. SOUSA GIVES ALL CONTRACTORS A BAD IMAGE! Save yourself some trouble and avoid Easy Way Construction like the plague. Company might consider changing its name from Easy Way construction to NO WAY CONSTRUCTION! Don’t get conned by these guys.
