We had a very terrible experience with this contractor for a number of reasons such as 1.) He asked 50% downpayment for the contracted price (we learned later that this was illegal) 2.) Billed us for materials that he never purchased - asked for money to buy materials like sneeze guards, air curtain, door metal sheets we paid for in advance but he never ordered. 3.) they don’t work everyday, many days, they worked for a few hours only, later on we found out that his workers were not paid on time. 4.) substantially delayed with the timeline 5.) poor quality of work - no quality control, not meeting even average standards 6.) poor in communication - does not update, surprises you with additional items not called for in the plan or code - this is for him to charge you for more. We can go on and on with the list but the above will give you a clear picture of the worst contractor you will hate. You can contact us for more details. We fired him because we can no longer afford to lose more money. We lost time because we had to personally manage him and be physically on site to see what they were doing, it caused us so much stress to deal with his lies and excuses. We are seeking legal actions against him at this point in time (1/31/2019). He should not be allowed to do business due to dishonesty and non-performance. We will do everything in our powers and social media platforms to make sure that this contractor, Emiliano Bernardo can no longer victimize another innocent customer.
